you ready?
lets go

Session 1: Who is God?
In this session we look at some aspects of God’s character and some of the different ways He relates to us. This should help us understand Him more on a personal level, and also provide us with language we can use when describing Him to others. We could spend days exploring God’s character, that would be a really long video... so we’re just going to focus on a few things - He is holy, He is relational, and He is love.
Session 2: Identity
Who we understand ourselves to be will determine how we live, the decisions we make, and how we view our relationship with God. In this session we take some time to reflect on our identity, who we are, and what we believe about ourselves. Our hope is that by the end of this session, your group will have a greater understanding of how God sees them, and that that awareness will impact how they see themselves, and others.
Session 3: Hearing God
In this session we talk about some of the different ways God speaks to us and discuss how we can discern His voice from others or our own thoughts. We also spend some time looking at different things that might hinder us from hearing God’s voice, and what it might look and feel like when we do hear Him.
Session 4: Missions
All throughout Scripture, the whole of the Bible, from beginning to end, is the story of God revealing Himself and drawing people from all nations to Himself. The story of God pursuing His people is still unfolding, it’s still being written - it’s happening right now. You and I are part of God’s story. And missions, at its core, is an extension of God’s love for all people and all nations, through us.
Session 5: Spiritual Discernment
Spiritual discernment is being aware of what might be happening around us beyond what we can see or experience with our physical senses. In this video we’ll explore what that might look like, and some of the spiritual ‘weapons’ we have available to us, like the armor of God, and worship. We’ll also spend some time discussing the importance of unity within your team and how that relates to spiritual discernment.
Session 6: Evangelism
In this video we’ll spend a bit of time looking at what evangelism is, and what it isn’t - and we’ll consider some things as we prepare to share our faith with the people in our lives or those we might meet. We’ll also give you some practical advice about how to share some of your personal story or testimony. Our hope is that by the end of this video you’ll feel confident and excited to have conversations with people about God and your relationship with Him.
Session 7: Coming Home
When you get back home, you’re probably still going to be processing all of the things you experienced. We think it’s important to take some time and talk about what your group might be feeling as you settle back into life at home. Coming home isn’t always easy and there are heaps of things they could be feeling. In this session we look at some of things they might be feeling or experiencing, and what can be done do to help ease the transition. We also take some time to explore with you what you’ve learned and experienced, and encourage you and your group to use those things to help you be more missional in everyday life. Being missional isn’t just taking a trip to volunteer somewhere, being missional is looking for every opportunity, or creating opportunities, wherever we are, to share the truth and love of Jesus with those around us.
