The Transylvanian city of Cluj is home to approximately 700,000 people, and its over 2000 year history gives it a special charm. It is a central hub in the region for those seeking job opportunities and a place of innovative development.
The YWAM staff here work in several key areas which visiting teams can join in with, such as the village of Mera (15 mins from Cluj) where YWAM teams have helped to build houses, run day camps for kids, and hold regular small group meetings for those they have met through their ministry there.

One opportunity to make a life changing difference and break the cycle of poverty for one local family is to partner with the Homes of Hope ministry to build them a house. There is an extra cost of €7000-9000, depending on the size of the house, to cover the materials. It’s an incredible way to make a long term impact in the lives of those in need!
On the day off, enjoy some down time and take in some of the local food and sights. There are lots of beautiful places to see, such as the Botanical Garden, National History Museum, or head 400ft underground and visit the incredible Salina Turda Salt Mine.
