The Next Wave
Currently moored at its home port on the Greek Island of Lesvos, the Next Wave sits poised to reach the peoples of the Aegean Sea.
The Mission Adventures team will join in YWAM’s rich history of ship based missions as they work, worship, and intercede alongside the crew, seeking to change the atmosphere of the islands and see God's will done. The Aegean represents the border between the Eastern and Western worlds, and hosts a unique blend of culture that has been influenced by both for centuries.
The plan for this Mission Adventures team is to experience life onboard a YWAM ship, share Jesus with local islanders and bless their communities with acts of service.
You will partner with local ministries to help meet needs in the area, as well as serve in practical ways onboard the ship. You will learn basic seamanship skills, while continuing the missionary work of Paul centuries ago when he first brought the gospel to these islands.
